At Pink Energy, we aim to make solar electricity more affordable for home and business owners across the country. In order to design the right solar system for your home, we’ve developed a simple 3-step solar installation process:
Contact The Team
You’ll start by filling out an online form for a free quote and soon receive a call from a Pink Energy expert for a qualifying conversation. This initial conversation will include some questions about your property and roof, but an in-person consultation will tell us more.
In-Home Consultation
When a Pink Energy expert visits your property, they’ll further examine your home and roof to see how a solar panel system could meet your energy needs. We’ll also spend time reviewing your electric bills, which helps us roughly establish the size of the solar system for your home. We’ll share our custom proposal with you, and with your permission, we’ll begin installation day preparations.
Solar Installation
On installation day, a team of installation professionals will work to install your new solar panel system. In just 1-2 days, we’ll mount your solar panels, test its efficacy and clean our workspace. With a new meter from your utility company, you’re on your way to potential savings on your electricity bill!4

Solar Panel Installation FAQs
Pink Energy solar panel systems are not one size fits all. We create custom solar systems for each customer’s unique energy needs. As such, it’s hard to give an estimate of what your solar panel installation could cost. However, generally the price will depend on your home’s current energy needs, what direction your home faces and how much sunlight your roof receives in addition to other such factors.
It’s possible to do, but we do not recommend it. Pink Energy’s qualified installation teams have the experience needed to ensure your panels are installed properly and in the best position to gather sunlight.
Our installation team only takes a day or two to have your solar panels up and running. It’s a quick process!
Yes, some permits are required to install solar panels. It’s likely your local government has some requirements in place before installation occurs. Pink Energy’s experts will help you with the majority of the permits as part of the installation process.
In nearly all cases, your roof warranty should remain intact. As long as the installation team did their job right (and our teams are experts), you shouldn’t have any problems with your roof’s warranty. We recommend that you should always double-check with your roof’s manufacturer or installer to confirm.
Permits needed to install solar panels vary by your own local government’s mandates. Your local government and local utility companies likely have specific requirements in place to satisfy local building and electrical codes. As a general rule, you can expect to have to file for a building permit, an electrical permit and possibly a solar photovoltaic (PV) permit.
This varies by neighborhood. However, you can expect to face some pushback from your HOA if your solar panels will face public spaces, such as an HOA-maintained park or road. Pink Energy will work with you to ensure that your solar panels are up to code and satisfy HOA requirements if at all possible!
Absolutely! Metal roofs offer a stable surface for solar panel installation, so there should be no problem in having both.
